Jennifer Wexler is a proficient health care professional with extensive knowledge related to hospital charge capture methodologies, correct coding, and analysis of claim, revenue management and CDM data. Ms. Wexler’s accomplishments include thought leader in the formation of one of the first hospital Revenue Integrity departments as a response to changing outpatient regulatory environment and payer reimbursement cut-backs. Responsible for the identification of revenue opportunities, specific to charge capture management, for large academic health systems and non-associated hospitals. Responsible for the creation and execution of charge capture operational redesign for high impact departments including Radiology, Cardiology and the Emergency Department. Created the financial model logic for the quantification of bottom line revenue associated with the implementation of project recommendations.
Hospital
Orlando Regional Hospital- Director of Revenue Integrity. Responsible for the creation of Revenue Integrity, a hospital middle charge capture department that housed management of the CDM, hospital charge capture, and revenue cycle operations. Management of all revenue cycle activities including revenue trending reporting, financial profitability and reimbursement analysis. Participation as Chair of a Corporate Revenue Integrity Council utilized by the organization to address cycle issues and compliance issues affecting hospital reimbursement
Florida Hospital –Senior Revenue Management Clinical Systems Analyst. Managed a multi-facility hospital charge description master (CDM). Conducted departmental review and process analysis and proposed recommendations for charge capture and procedural modification when applicable. Maintained departmental mainframe and ancillary system charging and system mapping of order and charge pathways as well as service master/profile maintenance for the Siemens (SMS) INVISION
Florida Hospital Waterman –Radiology Information Systems Project Manager. Managed all aspects of Siemens (SMS) Radiology (RIS) version 24 implementation project. Conducted workflow analysis, planning, and direction of hardware acquisition and installation and actual software configuration. Customization included department T-SQL document programming and report writing, coordination of writing and testing of point-to-point interfaces. Project management and completion of all personnel training, coordination of the LIVE process, and all subsequent aspects of maintenance on the system also encompassed this engagement.
